However, if any of you have a recipe for the real deal, Digestive Biscuits, please let me know! I've been searching for it a while now, and the recipe below is the most similar I've found so far. These crackers are indeed very nice, but they are no Digestive Biscuit, if you know what i mean:-)
Oat Crackers, 40 crackers
100 grams butter
1 1/2 dl water (150 ml)
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
3 dl fiber porridge oats (300 ml)
3 dl flour (300 ml)
2 tsp baking powder
Preheat the oven at 200 degrees C.
Melt butter in a saucepan, add water and stir. Add the other ingredients and combine to a dough. Divide the dough into two. Flatten the dough on a baking table sprinkled with flour. Roll your dough thin, about 30 x 30 cm, sprinkle some flour on top of your dough so it doesn't get stuck onto the roller.
Use a glass or pastry cutter to make your crackers, and place each cracker onto an oven papered covered baking plate. Prick small holes in each cracker, otherwise your crackers will rise during baking.
Bake in the middle of the oven for about 10-15 minutes until golden. The crackers get a nicer flavour if nice golden coloured instead of too light.
Let the oat crackers cool on a wire rack. Store in an airtight container or freeze.
